Wounds That Don’t Bleed!!

Does every wound bleed? Why do we only work on the wounds that are visible? I feel that these invisible wounds that don’t bleed leave the deepest scars. Well!! I am talking about Mental health.

Isn’t it really easy for people to say that mental health is as important as physical health?

But if we look, how many people take care of it? How many people put effort to be mentally strong? Very few.

And how many efforts we put to keep our closed one mentally healthy?

Today, a suicide of a known personality has made people talk about mental health but everything will be back to square one after a few days. Do we have any idea how many people must be going through mental trauma and how many people must be dying of suicide because of this? NOOO…. After all, it takes an incident of a known celebrity like this to awaken our fake conscience

After all, how can you keep your fake conscience awakened for long? Right.

Today a social media is flooded with stories, posts like “Check up on people who are close to you….” And whatnot, but what after a few days or few weeks, everything and everyone will again go numb.

Everyone will again be a part of this fake world, where people will think of themselves, where people will have no time for their closed ones, where people will share their so-called ”Gyan” and will never implement on themselves.

Well, I spoke about this incident with a few of my friends and one of my friends said that what if he could have found someone who could listen to him. Well, my reply was what if someone could have understood him.

Hearing and listening are two different things. In today’s world, there are two types of people: one who wanna help you by hearing and understanding to what you are going through which we call is listening, and others who make your stress issues a topic of mockery which in simple language is hearing.

But the people who understand you, your pain won’t go thrashing about your pain. They will understand you, will feel your pain, and be there for you no matter what. And these people are really hard to find.

We must be talking about that why did they do this? Was there no one with whom they could share what they felt?

And we never know how many people are going through this?

Introspect yourselves and answer the question: “Are we people not responsible for incidents like this?” Raise your hand if you think you are and then pat your shoulder for being honest.

Well, for those who are saying No! At least tell me honestly that did you never come across a person who was sad, anxious, and who wanted to share their feelings? You must have and how many of us have listened (not understood) them and replied to them: “Chill yar. You are thinking too much. Everything will be okay.” Many of us, Right?

But have we ever thought that if it was so easy to chill, the other person could have? No one wants to take the mental stress. But if there is something which is bothering them, no matter how small it might be for you, it is a big deal for them. And for god’s sake, don’t tell the person approaching you to share your pain that is not a big deal or it is a very small thing you are taking stress about. We never know how these small things become so big and make a person go crazy and force a person to take such a step. This attitude of yours will make the person conscious and will stop approaching you.

They will stop being open to anyone and this will bring no good to anyone.

In India, where the majority of the population is rural, cases of depressions in rural are not our interests normally. They are even not aware of a term like this. Instead, they call/ label such people mad or mentally unstable which makes it more difficult for a person to come out of it. They must not be even knowing what stress is and how bad it is for anyone’s health. They even don’t know that it is not a disease, it is just a condition that can be treated by simply listening and understanding them.

In this ever-updating and competitive world, the failures of life is not a new issue. We all have our hardships from struggling to get a two-time meal a day to the best job or build a home for ourselves. This list is never-ending because we are part of a system that pressurizes each of us every day every second of our life. We are running in an invisible race where we have a start but no finish point. It is as important to stop, look back, and enjoy what you have accomplished as well as share it with your closed ones. Everyone you know could be just so involved in their niche but just meet up or call and you never know what good holds in there for you. Its time to brush up your mind as well because if you keep accumulating negativities in no time this will start yielding negative results.

I think it is high time for the people who fake conscience has awakened and talking about introspecting themselves to introspect yourself and mend your actions and ways to deal with people. You don’t know what the other person is going through because of your actions.

Be human, be kind to everyone. If you cannot be there for them at least be polite with them. It costs nothing.

And for the people who think they are not mentally healthy and feel there is no one to talk, please reach to a therapist like mindcalling.com. It is a movement that helps people who are struggling personally in any aspect of life. Please reach out there is no harm in that. Honestly, no one is ever gonna judge you for that. No one is more important than you for you.
